Expert committee: Egyptian code for cycling path design specifications

In December 2021, the “Committee for cycling path design specification" was formed within the framework of the Housing and Building research center, a public research center following the Egyptian Ministry of Housing. The Committee includes several Egyptian experts, including Ahmed Tarek Alahwal of our Urban Footprints Project (UFP). It is responsible for preparing a code document that would outline specifications for cycling infrastructure in Egypt. The code is a vital step toward a successful integration into Egyptian streets.

For more information about the Committee’s work, please contact Ahmed Tarek Alahwal.
